Polar has released its first of three 24VDC model air-conditioners

POLAR AIR 17,000 BTU 24vdc Powered Split System Air-Conditioners run on 24 - 30 VDC at 40 - 60 amps depending on load and fan speed.
They deliver a true 17,222 BTU's at 80 F Wet bulb temperature.
Evaporator delivers 165 - 260 CFM with a temperature drop of 18 - 24ºF.
The Compressor Condenser unit pictured (comes with the remote Evap unit) is our P-6840-S-24DC.

JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA (January 18, 2011) -Sy-Klone International is proud to announce the appointment Polar Mobility in Calgary Canada, as its newest Master Dealer.
Polar Mobility, home based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has been a player in the off road air conditioning business since the 1970's.
Its customer centered approach has been instrumental in its success in Midwestern Canada's oil sands and mining industries.
Sy-Klone was looking for a company with a compatible philosophy and is pleased to be associated with Polar Mobility. Polar has expanded
its customer service options with the addition of the Sy-Klone product line which addresses air precleaning in both HVAC systems and engines.
This was a natural fit for a company which is involved holistically in servicing the needs of heavy equipment business in some of the most
grueling environments in the world.

Polar's New "All Hydraulic" Air Conditioning Systems Provide A Measure Of Safety And Reliability Unsurpassed In The Heavy Duty Air Conditioning Industry.
All components of this new one piece DIGAIRE air conditioner are powered by hydraulic pressure. Thus the system ensures explosion proof safety, long life, minimum service and outstanding reliability. Even the actuating switches are hydraulic drive.
Polar's DIGAIRE fully hydraulic air conditioner meets all hazardous environment requirements and complies with MSHA specifications.
NO electrical connections ensure no spark or explosion even in hazardous locations. Therefore there is no need to run cables and conduit, no need for shielded electrical connections and no concerns about electro magnetic interference. There are no fuses and no chance of electrical shock or burn.
This air conditioner includes fresh air filtration and, if desired, pressurization using highly efficient, easily changed filters to up to 20% fresh air. Alternatively, the unit can supply 100% recirculation. Process air up to 300 CFM is regulated by a two speed switch and moved through 5 inch ducts as required. The ducting system allows the unit to be mounted on any flat surface and uses insulated high strength flexible ducts to move process wherever it is needed.
The DIGAIRE case is constructed of 16 gauge stainless steel and all components are corrosion resistant. An optional checker plate top cover ensures that walking on the case will not cause any damage. Special refrigerant hoses and steel "o"ring fittings ensure that there are no refrigerant leaks. Thus the R-134a refrigerant used in this machine is very effective and especially suited to high temperature applications.
Convenient cab controls and the process air plenum may be remote mounted wherever convenient.
Polar's DIGAIRE series of air conditioners also includes electric/hydraulic models. These one piece units use Hydraulic power for the compressor drive and either 12 or 24 volt DC power for controls, fans and blowers. Liquid Heat Generator - Shear Heat
Polar is happy to announce the availability of the Liquid Heat Generator.
This belt driven heat generator is inserted into the coolant system of internal combustion engines to provide almost instantaneous heat even in the coldest weather. The Liquid Heat Generator (LHG) will add up to 45,000 BTU/hr to the engine coolant within seconds of start-up.
Many vehicles, especially those with diesel engines, require long periods at high idle to warm the engine and the vehicle interior. The LHG thus reduces idle time and the associated high concentrations of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. It also provides interior comfort quickly and thus eliminates time wasted while waiting for the vehicle to warm-up.
School Busses are often cool and uncomfortable. We have seen situations where cold interiors have resulted in frosted windows and subsequent traffic accidents. An LHG heater will add significant heat to the interior heating system and thus provide quicker comfort and clean windows. This is especially important when diesel engine heat is reduced because the engine is running at idle and not under load.
The LHG heater system is compact and self contained and is driven by a belt from the engine pulley or, in special circumstances, by a hydraulic motor Installation is not onerous and there is no maintenance required. LHG significantly reduces GHG emissions, provides operator and passenger comfort and eliminates warm-up idling; all at a very economical cost and with no ongoing maintenance requirements.
